Calvin graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto in 2001. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the University of Rochester in 2002. He started practicing dentistry in the GTA and Hamilton before coming to Orillia in 2004. He became owner of Dentistry on West in 2013.

Dr. Chu is committed to helping his patients maintain optimal oral health in a warm and caring manner. His goal is to educate patients on how to maintain a stable oral health condition. He stays up to date by engaging in continuing education courses, reading journals and attending dental meetings and conventions.

Calvin and his wife, Moon have a son Dante born in 2015. They enjoy travelling and cycling. Dante is often seen running with his dad. Calvin also enjoys curling and reading comics.

Dr. Hugh Coleman graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1977. He started practicing in Orillia in June of that same year. With more than 30 years of experience, Hugh continues to bring to the practice his commitment of high quality dentistry in a warm friendly relaxed atmosphere. His ever present good humour and enthusiasm contributes to a great work environment and an enjoyable experience for his patients and staff.

Dr. Coleman’s strong beliefs in the importance of continuing education ensure that he and his team participate on a regular basis in many activities and courses that increase their knowledge and team spirit.

An avid sportsman, he both participates and supports, athletic endeavours in the community such as curling, mountain biking, and cross country skiing. His musical abilities bring enjoyment to the community through his involvement in the Orillia Wind Ensemble

Dr. Lin Raimundo is a dual-doctorate clinician–scientist with over 20 years of dental experience. She earned her PhD from the University of Western Ontario in 2001, researching human osteoclasts and bone resorption, and completed her DDS at Western in 2005. Throughout her career, she has published under both her maiden name, Dr. Lin Naemsch, and her married name, Dr. Lin Raimundo.

For two decades, Dr. Raimundo ran a successful dental practice in Parry Sound and now practices part-time at Dentistry On West in Orillia. Her clinical passions include aesthetic dentistry (crowns, bridges, implants), clear-aligner orthodontics like Invisalign, and sleep apnea treatment with mandibular advancement devices. Dr. Raimundo is known for her gentle approach, strong scientific background, and dedication to patient-centered care.

Dr. Caitlin Sherry was born and raised in Port Credit, Ontario. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Western Ontario with Distinction in 2023, following her Honours Bachelors degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University. Throughout her studies, she competed in varsity badminton and promoted a healthy lifestyle through volunteer programs. Caitlin participated in the Student Ethics and Professionalism Association (SPEA) chapter at Western, with a mission to promote patient-centered care and awareness of oral public health concerns.

Caitlin started her dentistry practice in the beautiful and friendly province of Newfoundland, and continues to maintain connections there. Caitlin enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and continues to hone her skills with professional courses and conferences.

In her leisure time, Caitlin enjoys cooking, chess, biking, and, most of all, playing an exciting match of badminton. She is very much looking forward to practicing dentistry in Orillia and exploring the wonderful Simcoe County area.

Dr. Frank Vreugdenhil grew up on a farm in Frankford Ontario; near the beautiful Bay of Quinte. He studied Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and then moved on to the University of Western Onatrio for his degree in dentistry (DDS). Upon graduation, Frank moved back to the Bay of Quinte region where he practiced for 11 years as a general dentist. In 2016, he and his family moved to Orillia to be closer to their family and friends. He now practices in Wasaga Beach as well as Dentistry On West.

Dr. Vreugdenhil enjoys general dentistry for the variety of treatments that he is able to offer, and the wide range of people he is able to meet. In his spare time, he enjoys nature, fishing, and spending time with family and friends; ideally somewhere near the water.

Susy is a graduate of Barrie Business College and has been a member of the Dentistry On West team since 2001. Susy’s caring, dedicated, and sensitive nature endears her to patients and staff.

Susy has taken on a new role as Office Manager three days a week. She is dedicated in continuing to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and is a proud mom of two children. She enjoys biking, travelling, and gardening.

Linda has been a dedicated hygienist since 1974 and been with our practice for the over 30 years. She is a graduate of Georgian College in dental assisting, preventative dental assisting, and dental hygiene. Her experience and caring attitude have made her a valuable asset to our dental team and community. Linda is a self initiated hygienist and regularly takes continuing education courses.

Out of work Linda keeps busy with her family of three daughters, three grandchildren, and Special Olympics as Community Coordinator. She loves to travel any chance she gets as well as watching figure skating, dance, hockey, and lacrosse.

A caring member of our dental hygiene team since 1989. Linda takes pride in working with her clients to achieve and maintain excellent oral health. Staying current by attending continuing education courses throughout the year, she enjoys brings this new information back to our clients. A busy mom of three, Linda can be seen at various sporting venues around town. Linda likes to ski, garden and travel.

Kara joined our office over twenty years ago, restoring and enhancing our patients beautiful smiles!

Kara moved to Muskoka in 1988 after graduating from Canadores’ Dental Assisting Program. Due to her love of learning and love of dentistry she continued her education and graduated with honours in 1993 from Canadore College’s Dental Hygiene program and graduated with honours in 1995 George Brown’s Restorative Dental Hygiene program.

With nearly 30 years dental experience, don’t hesitate to ask her about your dental concerns. Kara lives in Bracebridge with her family and stays active in Muskoka’s great outdoors.

Barb joined our practice in 1988, and has been involved the dental field since 1980. She graduated from Dental Assisting at Georgian College, Dental Hygiene at Cambrian College, and Restorative Dental Hygiene at George Brown College. Her primary focus is restorative dentistry. Barb also teaches on a part time basis at Georgian College in the dental hygiene program, and is currently working on her degree in Gerontology. Barb’s experience and caring attitude have made her a valuable asset to our dental team.

Barb enjoys many physical activities, and spends some of her spare time volunteering; she is a coach with Special Olympics Orillia and the Orillia Curling Club, and has taken dental students on several Interprofessional Wellness Mission trips to the Dominican Republic with Rayjon Share Care Inc.
